Credits, notifications, security, FAQ, troubleshooting, and where to get help

The parts of Foxl that apply across every product: how usage is metered, how Foxl reaches you, what happens to your data, and what to do when something breaks.

What it costs

  • Cost & model access - Foxl sells no plan. Foxl Code runs on managed models paid for with account credits, which come from free welcome and monthly grants, in the Foxl app too unless a device is set to This computer; Foxl Agent and Notes, on the desktop and in the phone and web apps, run on the model access you supply. What credits pay for, where they come from, and how requests hold them. Read this first.

Notifications

  • Notifications - the categories Foxl can notify you about, how desktop banners, browser notifications and phone push differ, and how to turn each one off. Marketing messages are off unless you opt in.

Data and security

  • Security - where each product stores your data, what crosses the network, how the relay tunnel is encrypted between your devices and the short list the relay can still read, the limits the relay applies to your account, and what the shipped tool-approval default is (a new install auto-approves every tool - worth one read).

When something is wrong

  • Troubleshooting - the failures that come up most: the desktop app not connecting, a model erroring, recording producing silence, computer use permissions, and how to collect a System report worth sending us.
  • FAQ - short answers to the questions we get asked repeatedly.

Getting help

  • Community - sending a report from the app, the Discord, email, and how to ask for a feature.

If you cannot find an answer here, send a report from the app (Settings > General > Report an issue > Send a report), ask in Discord or email [email protected]. A report from the desktop attaches the diagnostic report described in Troubleshooting unless you untick it.
